Keith Grice

Head Brewer Foghorn Hunter

Keith’s beer mission is – to have fun, sharing the love while brewing great beer. He started doing that professionally in 2007 when he became an assistant brewer at the Hunter Beer Co. and continues after joining the Foghorn family as Head Brewer Foghorn Hunter in 2020. Keith’s beer journey kicked off in the nineties as an avid, some might say obsessive, home brewer. Along the way he brewed award winning home brews, became BJCP certified and helped found the local homebrew club. As a professional brewer Keith has earned a reputation for brewing a wide range of quality beers ranging from traditional beer styles through to unique very left of centre creations. His beers have been awarded numerous medals and trophies as state and national competitions.

Daniel Gayner

Daniel developed his love for all things fermentation during his time studying food science at Newcastle Uni. This passion lead him down the rabbit hole of homebrewing and from there it was only a matter of time before he took it up as a career.

He officially took the plunge in 2014, enrolling in the Institute of Brewing and Distilling and not long after picked up a job brewing professionally in the heart of wine country at Hunter Beer Co. While HBC is no more, these days you will find Daniel, mash paddle in hand, making awesome beer at Foghorn Hunter Valley.
